Aesthetic Design Guide is a small, independent shop in Tennessee, run by Rachel Hurley. This page explains what we collect when you use aestheticdesignguide.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we collect as little as we can, and we never sell your information.

What stays on your device

The aesthetic generator and the design builder are free and need no account. Your five picks and your style card are made on your own device; your look is saved only in its Style Code, which you can share or keep. The pictures you add and any font file you bring stay on your own device. They are never uploaded to us. Your design is saved in its own web address, so only people you share that address with can see it.

Share pictures. When your style card is drawn, a smaller copy of the card picture is saved on our server, so a shared link can show your card. The card holds only your look (its name, colors, wardrobe, music, reads and Style Code), never your name or anything about you. Anyone with that card's link can see the picture.

What we collect

When you buy. Stripe runs our checkout and takes your payment. We never see or store your card number. Stripe shares your email, your country and ZIP code (for sales tax), and the design you bought with us. We keep these with your order so we can email your theme files, help you if something goes wrong, and keep the tax records the law requires.

When you write to us. If you email us or use the contact form, we get your name, your email and your message. We use them only to write back.

When you send your look to your computer. If you type your email to get your design link, we use it only to send you that link. We do not add it to any list.

Visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not track you from site to site. It tells us things like how many people visited, which page they opened, and what kind of device they used.

Cookies and the Pinterest tag

We use Pinterest's tag so we can see which pins bring people here and which lead to a sale. The tag sets a cookie and tells Pinterest when someone visits, clicks the buy button or buys. The tag may also pick up contact details you type into a form on our pages, like your email, and send them to Pinterest in scrambled form so Pinterest can match visits to Pinterest accounts. Our own server also tells Pinterest about each visit, each press of the buy button and each sale, so they still count if the tag is blocked or you close the page. These reports give Pinterest your internet address (IP address), the type of browser you use, and Pinterest's own click number if you came from a pin. When you buy, Pinterest also gets your email, ZIP code and country, all in scrambled form. To send the sale report, we keep your internet address and browser type with your order record. We do not load the Pinterest tag for visitors in Europe. To limit how Pinterest uses this information, change the ad settings in your Pinterest account or your browser's cookie settings.

Amazon shopping links

Aesthetic Design Guide is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. The "Shop This Aesthetic" buttons and book links open Amazon searches made from your look. When you click one, Amazon may set cookies and may collect information about your visit under Amazon's own privacy notice. We do not send Amazon your email or anything else about you; each link carries only its search words and our Associates ID.

Spotify player

After you get your look, the page shows a Spotify player with a playlist for a music genre picked for you. The player comes from Spotify and loads only once you have a result. Spotify may set cookies and collect information about your visit under Spotify's own privacy policy. We do not send Spotify anything about you. Genre names come from Every Noise at Once (everynoise.com).

Who helps us run the site

Each of these companies handles information under its own privacy policy. We share only what each one needs to do its job.

What we never do

We never sell, rent or trade your information. We do not send newsletters or ads unless you ask for them. No AI designs your theme or reads your pictures. Your theme is built by a fixed program from the choices you made.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax law requires, which is usually several years. We keep emails from you for as long as we need them to help you. You can ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@aestheticdesignguide.com and we will reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under your state's or country's privacy law, and we will honor them.

Children

This site is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
